Dr. Kenneth S. Kurtz

Dr. Kurtz is a Cum Laude graduate of SUNY Albany and received his DDS degree from the New York University College of Dentistry (NYUCD). After practicing general dentistry for a dozen years, Dr. Kurtz received prosthodontic specialty training at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Maxillofacial Prosthetic training at the Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery/Bronx VAMC. He completed the NYU Implant Fellowship in 2009. Dr. Kurtz is board certified in prosthodontics, the specialty of implant, esthetic, and reconstructive dentistry, and joined Dr. Gluck in 2000.

Dr. Kurtz holds academic appointments and presently teaches at two metropolitan area graduate prosthodontic training programs. He is a Clinical Professor and Director of the Division of Maxillofacial Prosthetics at Stony Brook University School, of Dental Medicine in the Department of Prosthodontics and Digital Technology. Additionally, he is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Departments of Dentistry and Otorhinolaryngology at Montefiore Medical Center/AECOM, serving as the maxillofacial prosthodontist for the multidisciplinary craniofacial team for Children's Hospital at Montefiore. Dr. Kurtz had been promoted to Clinical Professor of Prosthodontics at NYUCD, where he served on the Graduate Prosthodontic faculty for a decade and a half prior to being recruited to join the Stony Brook faculty. With advanced training to help patients with acquired and congenital defects of the head and neck. Dr. Kurtz is an Attending Prosthodontist at Long Island Jewish Medical Center/North Shore (LIJ/NS) conveniently located in close proximity to the Hillside Avenue practice, and also serves as a Professor in the Department of Dentistry at the Hofstra/Northwell School of Medicine. As a Fellow of both the American College of Prosthodontists (ACP) and the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics (GNYAP), he contributes to the continuing education of his professional colleagues and has co-authored over forty scientific papers. Internationally, Dr. Kurtz has been honored with Fellowships in both the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons Scotland (Glasgow) and the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland. Dr. Kurtz has the qualifications to assist patients with a wide variety of complex dental issues~
